Regular Check-Ups & Cleanings

Is it time for your teeth’s date with the dentist? Every six months they deserve a thorough cleaning, flossing, and polishing to keep up that radiant smile.

If during your routine check-up, we find a broken filling, a cavity, or another issue, we will devise an appropriate treatment plan and discuss all your options with you. We’re here to make sure your teeth stay beautiful!

Tooth Fillings

Who doesn’t like those yummy chocolates or cakes? We all have sweet tooth cravings, but we have to beware of cavities. We will make sure you don’t have any signs of tooth decay, but if we find some, we will give you different options to get your teeth healthy again.

Tooth colored fillings work great to fix most of the cavities. They fit in naturally with the rest of your teeth, and once the filling is placed you won’t have any difficulty biting or chewing. A filling can also be used to replace a chipped or broken tooth, or to close a small gap between teeth. Have questions? Give us a call, and we’ll be happy to answer them for you!

Root Canals

We know that oftentimes, people hear the phrase “root canal” and it stirs up all kinds of negative feelings. It’s important to know that with modern dentistry techniques, sedation options, and our compassionate staff, you won’t have anything to worry about with root canal therapy at Frisco Dental Associates.

During root canal therapy, we do all we can to ease any anxiety you feel, from conscious sedation to the age-old technique of just listening to your concerns. After all, your comfort is our top priority!

General Dentistry

Missing natural teeth has never been easy and it’s even harder when your existing denture doesn’t seem to fit well. Visit us to regain the feeling of those natural teeth you had. Whether it’s one missing tooth or multiple missing teeth, our goal is your comfort and satisfaction. Sometimes with the help of partials and dentures, and sometimes if the bone is sufficient, dental implants provide an ideal solution to replace missing teeth and return that radiant smile and a happier you.

Gum Disease

Daily brushing and flossing helps keep your teeth in their best shape—and it’s important for healthy gums, too! Sometimes all it takes is a regular brush, floss, and mouthwash routine to prevent or reverse early gum disease.

If you think that you may be suffering with gum disease, however, it’s important to treat it because it can affect both your dental health and your cardiovascular health! We can help you maintain your gum health with specific periodontal treatments, including Arestin.

Dental Crowns and Bridges

Whether because of chips, cracks, or decay, sometimes a filling is not enough to restore a tooth to its original shape or structure. In these cases, we can provide a porcelain cap, also known as dental crown, which resembles the look and function of a natural tooth.

Our practice also provides dental bridges to close gaps caused by missing teeth. Want more information on how dental bridges work? Feel free to contact our office!

Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are a safe, painless way to protect your teeth from decay. They are protective plastic coatings, which are applied to the biting surfaces of the back teeth.

The process is straightforward and usually takes only a few minutes for each tooth. The tooth is thoroughly cleaned and prepared with a special solution. The liquid sealant is then applied and allowed to set. It then forms a hard shield that keeps food and bacteria from getting into the tiny grooves in the teeth and causing cavities. While sealants are mostly used with children, adults can benefit from them, too!

Other General Dental Services

Children’s Dentistry

We always want the best for our little ones, and helping them grow up with good oral hygiene habits can ensure they have a healthy, beautiful smile for years to come. It’s generally recommended that you bring your children in for a dental visit every six months from the time they are 1 year old. Our friendly team knows how to patiently work with children so that they feel comfortable and safe during their appointment.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride is in many brands of toothpaste as well as in most city’s public water supplies, but some people need extra amounts of the naturally occurring mineral to protect their teeth from decay. With fluoride treatments, you are helping promote the remineralization of your teeth and protecting it against harmful bacteria and sugars.

Halitosis Treatment

Halitosis is actually the technical term for bad breath. We can help pinpoint the cause of your bad breath, whether it be because of your at-home routine, gum disease, or another condition. We can then offer you with personalized treatment solutions to fight halitosis.

Headache Prevention (NTI)

Did you know that tension or migraine headaches are sometimes caused by teeth clenching? If you are suffering with this kind of pain, we can help you find relief with drug-free headache prevention. We offer NTI treatment devices that allow your muscles to relax and stop you from grinding or clenching.

Mouthguards shield your teeth, lips, tongue, and jaw from trauma during contact sports while nightguards protect your teeth from permanent damage due to nighttime grinding. We can create a custom-fitted guard that fits comfortably and keeps your smile in great shape.

Oral Cancer Screenings

When oral cancer is detected and treated early, it can be easier to cure. That’s why we perform oral cancer screenings to improve your chances of successful treatment by acting quickly. During screenings, we inspect your mouth for any signs of the illness, like swelling or lumps. At Frisco Dental Associates, your overall health is our priority!

Sleep Apnea Appliances

Sleep apnea is a condition where people stop breathing, or don’t breathe enough, while they are sleeping because of an obstructed airway. Some of the common signs of sleep apnea include loud snoring, chronic fatigue, and headaches. It’s important to treat this condition because it can lead to serious negative health effects. We are able to diagnose and treat this disorder so you can enjoy a more restful sleep.
