Restorative Dentistry in Frisco
We understand that the word “surgery” might make some people anxious, especially when the related procedure terms are hard to understand. We’ve found that most of the time, dental anxiety is a result of fear of the unknown. At Frisco Dental Associates, we prioritize open communication so you don’t have to deal with any fear or discomfort during your visit.
From simple extractions to wisdom teeth removal to dental implants, we perform all oral surgery procedures with utmost care. Our team uses leading-edge technology like digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, and sedation dentistry to ensure your comfort.
During wisdom teeth extraction and dental implant procedures, our consulting oral surgeon provides gentle IV sedation. Our office also provides laser dentistry, which offers a virtually painless approach towards treating patients with minimal intra-operative and post-operative discomfort. Waterlase® dental lasers have a wide-range of applications and make for a more comfortable, and faster, experience overall!
Dental implants make it possible to regain that smile you had with natural teeth. After all, teeth aren’t just for chewing—they’re as vital to your confidence as they are to your health!
If you’re hiding your smile or have difficulty chewing due to missing teeth, or if your denture doesn’t fit comfortably any more, dental implants may be the perfect solution.

Wisdom Teeth Removal
Many times wisdom teeth, also known as third molars, can erupt without any issue—and some people may never even develop wisdom teeth at all! But if we see that they are not coming in properly, we may recommend getting them extracted.
When wisdom teeth don’t come in properly, they can cause crowding with your other teeth or they can become impacted. We provide wisdom teeth removal in these cases to help you avoid possible bite misalignment, decay, and infection.
During wisdom teeth removal, we will ensure that you are kept completely comfortable during the procedure with carefully administered anesthesia or sedation.
Our practice philosophy is to save and preserve natural teeth whenever possible. Unfortunately, there are some cases that might call for a tooth extraction, like when there’s not enough room in the mouth for a tooth to come incorrectly, a tooth has a serious infection, or baby teeth don’t fall out before permanent teeth start coming in.
If you need to get a tooth removed, our team will walk you through the entire process and make sure that you are kept comfortable with any necessary sedation/anesthesia. You’ll have nothing to worry about in our care!
Bone grafts are used when certain patients need a little extra structural support before dental implants, after an extraction, or after bone loss has occurred from gum disease. This procedure not only strengthens a specific area, but it also stimulates new bone growth.
Have any questions about this treatment? Our staff is happy to discuss bone grafts further, so you can have all the facts before planning your next course of action!
